When I saw this pop up in-game, I thought 'Woah! removing all markets? that is not right?' I am glad I looked at the forum post, because I thought that this would be horrible for the existing stores that are on the server. After reading it I realize that it won't hurt the big box stores at all, but just the local small businesses, and that is in itself not good for the local economy, and good for the global businesses, just like in the real world. I realize that the 'market' itself is not a healthy market and that it is not well kept up by it's owners, but isn't that a responsibility of the staff to shut down those that aren't keeping their shop up? That is the reason that there are supposed to be, 'monthly checkups' of shops? I am probably wrong but this isn't fair to the little guy in the business. Now if there is no one in the market that is taking care of their business I understand, but if there are members that are keeping their market up they should be protected from this far sweeping action of those in power. I know that you guys try to be fair, but don't hurt the small guy that is active in business because of a failed attempt by the rest of the commonwealth. Ironically stated by a man that has no interest in selling products through a storefront, and probably never will. Scevah

There is currently a sign in issue with the authentication servers being down for maintenance? This seems to apply to a number of players on different I.P.s, any info as to why?

Oh my Gosh, really? Who cares! If Dteandy wants to go play on the ceiling in the nether that's great! If that is how he enjoys playing minecraft let him, it doesn't give him an unfair advantage in this 'economy'. This economy is very healthy, there isn't just one superstore that stocks everything, and that's a good thing, it's a sign of a healthy economy. The mass appeal of MINECRAFT is that you can enjoy this game in so many different ways! Novaleigh you like to play minecraft for a reason, right? So does Modern Dragoness, Elite Catalyst, Dteandy, JessicaRabit, and I, for that matter everyone on the server. I guarantee that my way of playing is not the exact same as yours or anyone else's, and that's a good thing. This thread that you have personally turned into an argument had a valid Question that has brought this issue to the forefront. Modern has posted a thread that is open to staff and member comments, which is great for her to have voiced her opinion, and left it open for discussion, although I think this thread is doing that very thing. But really we should be PLAYING minecraft, so let us allow each other to PLAY.

But I currently have a pc that is lIterally JUST for minecraft, It isn"t powerful it runs XP but it is a clean pc, It has nothing on it but what I need to play minecraft. I use Optifine and have cut most graghics to fast or fastest just to improve the ability to play, it doesn't make a difference with the lag that we are getting. And correct me if I'm wrong, but most of us know when it is lag on our side. Atleast the ones who are speaking up on this thread.
